60s Alfred Hendrickx rosewood cabinet by Belform

Alfred Hendrickx is one of the most prominent Belgian designers from the 20th century. Born in 1931, he colloborated throughout the fifties and sixties with Belgian furniture manufacturer Belform, known for it’s good quality and modern style.

Hendrickx designed elegant, sculptural pieces including tables, seating, storage units and sideboards. His 1950s and ‘60s-era pieces are sought after for their more “industrial-style” take on the midcentury Scandinavian look, using both fine woods like rosewood and teak and less luxurious materials like laminates and steel.
